This design is derived from an original in house abstract watercolour painting with beautiful Porthcurno Beach in mind with its high granite cliffs and turquoise waters. Porthcurno is far West near Sennen and the famous Minack Theatre. There's also a link with Poldark here as the beach was used for filming the TV Series and called Nampara Cove. Porthcurno is also famous in groundbreaking communications around the world. Cables was laid from Cable and Wireless in Porthcurno, then under the beach into the seabed which then spread all over the world.
As this design is created specifically for lampshades, the design is scaled to each size stated below, therefore individual, unique and well balanced. The original painting has lots of texture and rich turquoise tones with a textured sea blue in between the dark brown abstract lines that mimic the cliffs. The painting has been cleverly edited before printing on high quality Organic optic half panama Cotton retaining the intricate markings and rich colours from the original. Printed in the UK with water based pigments.
